It’s nice to hear someone say that the horses are not motorcycles (they live, breathe and feel). I wish there was a way to keep that thought in the heads of people as they grow older. I find (as an instructor) that many kids forget that fact as they reach their teens and adulthood. So many people start treating their horses as “vehicles to personal glory”, trying madly to win ribbons and/or points. The horse’s needs (many times) get forgotten in that pursuit.
