Born three days post term on April 22, 2010, in Barnstead, New Hampshire, Einstein weighed six pounds and stood 14 inches tall.  He is co-owned by Charles Cantrell an entertainment producer and Dr. Rachel Wagner, a family practice physician.

Cantrell and Wagner own other horses including a Lusitano gelding named Cofre and an Adalusian mare, Diva. They also purchased a mini horse named Karma three years ago for their 13-year-old niece, Emelie Stewart.

Currently Einstein is the smallest horse in the world. It is not be known if he will retain that title once he is full grown. However, it is safe to speculate that he will indeed continue to be the world's smallest stallion!

The average weight of a new born miniature horse is 18 pounds. The average height at birth is 21 inches. With his birth weight being six pounds and his height 14 inches, it is likely he's going to be very small when full grown.

Usually when horses are this small, they exhibit dwarfism characteristics which are absent in Einstein. He looks as though he is a large horse placed into a shrinking machine and shrunk to the size of a house cat.

In addition to Einstein's unique small size he is graced with amazing markings. He sports a medicine hat, chest shield and blue eyes and is known as a Medicine Hat Pinto. These characteristics were considered by Native Americans to be magical. Einstein is registered with the American Miniature Horse Association and the Pinto Horse Association of America.
