The Netherlands team consists of NRHA Professional Rieky Young, with over $121,000 in NRHA lifetime earnings, who will ride Burnt Starlight, which she co-owns with her husband, NRHA Professional Dave Young; Hubert Heule riding Crome Shiner; Fenna Elzinga riding Smoking Kills; and Anky Van Grunsven riding Whizashiningwalla BB, belonging to Eifel Gold Ranch Baeck.
Van Grunsven, the famed multiple Olympic dressage winner who withdrew from her country’s dressage team qualification because her mount, Salinero, is recovering from an injury, replaces Jurgen Pouls, whose horse is injured.
