Hometown: Wellington, Fl.

A native of Great Britain, Katherine moved to the U.S. at the age of 11 and went in pursuit of her riding goals. After working for years as a groom and assistant trainer for six-time Olympian Robert Dover, Katherine graduated to the Grand Prix ranks with his Olympic horses, Rainier and Kennedy, when he retired from competition. Now the rider for Robert's former sponsor, U.S. Equestrian Team Foundation President and CEO Jane Clark, Katherine was the 2009 national Intermediare I chairman with Dea II. She often has trained with one of Great Britain's star riders, Carl Hester.

In a late bid for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games team, Jane bought the experienced 15-year-old horse Nartan from Dutch rider Jeannette Haazen in mid-May for Katherine. With just a short time to qualify, Katherine made it to the selection trials. Third overall at Gladstone, offering an impressive performance with such a new partner, Katherine made it onto the short list and is expected to be named to the team when the final entries are made.

DiscoverHorses.com WEG columnist Nancy Jaffer's Preview:

Katherine is at a disadvantage with a horse show has only had for a few months. But she noted after two weekends of selection trials that she finally feels as if he is hers. She is still getting help from Jeannette and with guidance from U.S. technical advisor Anne Gribbons before the team leaves Gladstone for Kentucky, she is likely to be able to make up more ground.
