Vicky Johnson (847-346-6996, vickysecho@yahoo.com) of Harvard, Illinois, says she was deceived by a couple from Darwin, Minnesota, who
offered to give her two mares, Suzy and Echo, a good home. Vicky had been suffering from pneumonia and wanted the best for her horses.
When the couple would not return her phone calls, Vicky went to the Darwin, Minnesota, property. Her horses weren’t there. Last Wednesday, Vicky received an email from someone named Steve who said the horses were sold to the Waverly Auction Barn in Waverly, Iowa. Vicky wants to find her horses and bring them home.
Suzy is a light bay with a white muzzle and a cresty neck. She’s 15 hands, about 1, 400 pounds. Echo is a gray roan with a dent in her forehead, a scar on her right heel.

Makes me sick to think about what could have happened to them. I wish you all the best & I will keep my eyes open !!
There’s been so much more going on with this story, it would be hard to lay it all out here, but, in part:
The Olson’s sold, or fenced, Suzy and Echo to Keith Tongen, who acknowledged he bought three horses from the Olson’s on that day, but won’t say what he did with them, or give straight identification onformation. Suzy and Echo have apparently become an international incident, though the U.S., the Canadian’s and whomever else have not disclosed any details, We currently believe that the Canadian’s intercepted Suzy and Echo on their way to Richelieu, or at Ricelieu, and are holding them asking the U.S. what’s up.
Now, the U.S.D.A. seems to think it’s job is to investigate horse theft, and attempt to discredit Vicky’s claim that her horses were stolen. They won’t acknowledge the email and text evidence, or interview any of the three witnesses, and they’re trying to twist her words… Now why would they do that?
This is weird stuff, and the U.S. is definately trying to hide something, besides, of course, Vicky’s stolen horses.
im so so sorry for what has happened i hope the you find them and i hope and pray that they are ok.
