Meet Sally, Rescue Horse of the Week

Sally is a grey 4-year-old Thoroughbred mare at Pure Thoughts Horse Rescue in Florida

At five years old, Unbridled Sally (her racing name) has her whole life ahead of her.  She’s a 15.2-hand, steel grey Thoroughbred mare who had brief careers in racing and polo before winding up at the Pure Thoughts Horse Rescue center in Loxahatchee, Florida.

The folks at the center say Sally is a quick learner, and her polo experience made her savvy about neck reining. She’s sound and kind and has become accustomed to being around dogs, kids, cars, pigs, cows, sheep and goats at the busy rescue center. She’s proven herself to be safe and dependable when ridden by young volunteers–even the timid ones–which indicates that she could be an excellent dressage or hunter prospect, a family/trail horse or perhaps the horse that carries a young 4-Her to a future Olympics.

Sally is up to date on her Coggins tests, vaccinations and hoof care. Her adoption fee is $1,250.
